Born and raised in update NY , I moved to Virginia in 2007 after getting married. I have three beautiful children, and we enjoy spending time with family and friends. I love to spend time outdoors, camping, fishing, and of course riding.
My equine career began when I fell in love with a 27-year-old Appaloosa gelding named Horse Feathers at age 15. After riding in my back yard, I quickly learned that I loved horses and riding. I wanted to learn everything I could about them. This led me looking for a weekend job at a farm so I could continue to learn all I could about horses and improve my riding. As soon as I was old enough I took a full time position at the barn and shadowed my trainer and barn manger everywhere. I enjoyed learning everything from horse care, barn care, and riding. While at the barn I helped teach beginner lessons, run summer camps, therapeutic riding for autistic children, exercising clients' horses along with daily barn chores . I did some small shows where I competed in dressage and show jumping. I also enjoy doing cross country and trail riding. I truly care and have genuine compassion for my equine friends. I truly enjoy my job. Which makes for happy horses and a great barn atmosphere!
